The RG-03 A pairs the RG-03 sensor with a two channel endpin jack preamp that can be powered by either an onboard 9 volt battery or by up to 48 volts of phantom power.

The RG-03 is the original centre mounted resonator guitar pickup for Dobro-style, spider bridge, instruments. It comes pre-wired to an endpin jack and is ready for installation.

In the past, many resonator pickups were either stuck onto the side of the cone (which invariably caused feedback issues) or else required the replacement of large parts of the resonator assembly (not to mention a lot of expense and probable modification to the instrument). There were also some magnetic pickups that positioned under the strings at the end of the fingerboard - but these were never particularly acoustic sounding. The RG-03 solution combines faithful sound reproduction, ease of installation, and great anti-feedback characteristics.

The sensor for the RG-03 mounts easily to the centre of the underside of the resonator cone with the supplied putty. The endpin jack may be mounted through the end block of an instrument and used as a strap button or it may be used as a standard output jack and mounted through the side of an instrument.
