RG-03 Neo Resonator Pickup for Dobro-style Spider Bridge Guitars (Passive)
The RG-03 Neo combines the RG-03 sensor with Schatten Design's Neo-Jack to provide great sound with a virtually non-invasive jack installation. The sensor for the RG-03 installs to the underside of the cone and the Neo-Jack mounts just behind the tailpiece using the existing strap button and screw.
The RG-03 is the original centre mounted resonator guitar pickup for spider bridge instruments.
The passive RG-03 works perfectly well and sounds good when plugged straight into any decent quality guitar amp. As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. Note that a preamp will be needed for use when plugged directly into a mixer or P.A. system.

The sensor for the RG-03 mounts easily to the centre of the underside of the resonator cone with the supplied putty. The lead wire from the RG-03 sensor is fitted with a micro plug at its end. A small 5/32" (4mm) hole is drilled in the area under the tailpiece, and which will remain out of sight under the tailpiece, to bring the lead wire and micro plug from the sensor to the Neo-Jack.
There is no soldering required as the lead from the RG-03 simply plugs into the Neo-Jack to complete the installation.
