DM100 Di Mauro Style Gypsy Jazz Guitar
The DM series of guitars are based on the Dupont Selmer style guitar with the same general measurements and dimensions.
By way of homage to other iconic French luthiers these guitars also feature an arched back, redolent of the Busato-design guitars, and the usual single soundhole is replaced by two distinctive f-holes in the style of the Di Mauro guitars of the 1940s and 50s.
All in all a very distinctive, and unusual, gypsy jazz guitar.
The DM100 includes
- Back and sides in laminated Sapele wood
- Arched Back
- European Spruce top
- Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard
- Satin finish
- Distinctive, characterful appearance with f-holes
- including leather hard case
Also available in left-handed versions on request. There is no additional charge for left-handed versions.
Other DM models are available that consist of different woods for the back and sides of the instrument. In addition to the Spruce/Sapele example shown here, there are also versions available in Santos Rosewood (DM60); Indian Rosewood (DM50); Maple with gloss finish (DM50E); Brazilian Rosewood with gloss finish (DM50B) providing a wide range of subtle yet distinctive tonal qualities.
