Dupont

Dupont specialises in building many kinds of instruments from classical, steel string and archtop guitars to Hawaiian Weissenborn guitars, ukuleles, bouzoukis, mandolins, and even a foldable touring double bass.

Maurice Dupont is however perhaps best known for his faithful recreation of the legendary Selmer gypsy swing guitars. His quality replicas of the guitars Django Reinhardt played during his partnership with Stephane Grapelli in the 1930's and 40's have became as popular today, if not more so, than they were during their heyday.

As the first guitar-maker to build them since the demise of Selmer, and having repaired more than a hundred original Selmer-Maccaferri guitars, Dupont's knowledge of these instruments is truly unsurpassed.

All Dupont guitars, musical instruments, pickups and amplifiers are made in Port-Boutiers, near Cognac, France.
