VR-02 NT Non-Terminated Viola Pickup (Passive)
The VR-02 NT, the non-terminated version of the VR-02 pickup, offers unparalleled reproduction, range and clarity of sound all wrapped up in a high quality Superieur Despiau "two tree" maple bridge. There is no false 'fatness' of sound to this series of pickups; they will give you everything that your instrument has. The response is sweet from the bottom end right up to the top. The pickup has excellent volume, great bottom and mids, and overall, a sweet, even response. It has been tested and proven over nearly thirty years in production.
The passive VR-02 NT works perfectly well and sounds good when plugged straight into any decent quality guitar amp. As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. Note that a preamp will be needed for use when plugged directly into a mixer or P.A. system.

The single piezo sensing unit is built into the bridge, as a result it cannot fall out or get out of position or adjustment. There is no acoustic degradation or loss of normal acoustic tone or volume. All VR-2 models are in 4/4 size and fit a normal full sized adult viola.
