The V-02 series may have been superseded by the V-03, but these models still provide excellent reproduction, range and clarity of sound using a single sensor embedded in a high quality, medium density bridge. Thousands of players, professionals and amateurs alike, have been using these pickups for many years.  The response is sweet from the bottom end right up to the top. The pickup has excellent volume, great bottom and mids, and overall, a sweet, even response. It has been tested and proven over nearly thirty years in production.

The V-02 Pro combines the V-02 in-bridge pickup with an SJAplus jack and volume control assembly providing a complete solution for the violin.


The passive V-02 Pro works perfectly well and sounds good when plugged straight into any decent quality guitar amp.  As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. Note that a preamp will be needed for use when plugged directly into a mixer or P.A. system.

A highly efficient piezo element is built into a Despiau B model bridge. There is no acoustic degradation or loss of normal acoustic tone or volume. All V-03 models are in 4/4 size and fit a normal full sized adult violin.

The ultralight RJAplus jack is a small, low profile clamp on jack assembly with a volume control built into the jack body. The output takes a standard 1/4" plug so that you can use a normal guitar cable. The complete jack assembly with clamps weighs only one ounce.
