S51 Stimer Retro Dual PickupST48 Stimer Selmer Retro Pickup
Stimer developed the ST48 single-coil magnetic acoustic guitar pick up in 1948 along with a 6 watt valve amplifier, the M6. Django Reindhart used this equipment from about 1948/9. Now the ST48 has been recreated by Maurice Dupont. Sticking faithfully to the traditional design, the ST48 pickup is available in left hand or right hand versions for Selmer, petite-bouche (0 hole) style gypsy jazz guitars. The pickups are extremely easy to fit and provide a well balanced tonal response. Fit one of these and you’re back in 1950’s France with Django.
Important: Please note that if you do not have an original Selmer or the Dupont equivalent, you should call us to check whether the bracing in your guitar is compatible with these pickups. Many copies do not have the original style of bracing. This may cause problems fitting the pickup.
