V-03 Neo Violin Pickup (Passive)

The V-03 Neo version of the V-03 pickup, offers unparalleled reproduction, range and clarity of sound all wrapped up in a high quality  Superieur Despiau "two tree" maple bridge. There is no false 'fatness' of sound to this series of pickups; they will give you everything that your violin has. The response is sweet from the bottom end right up to the top. The pickup has excellent volume, great bottom and mids, and overall, a sweet, even response. It has been tested and proven over nearly thirty years in production.

The Neo Jack offers a different approach to mounting an output jack to a violin or viola. Instead of clamping a jack assembly to the top of the instrument, the Neo Jack uses the existing tail gut as its mounting point.  A back bracket is inserted between the tail gut and the instrument body. When the strings are up to tension this back bracket is securely held in place. The Neo Jack slides into place on the back bracket and is secured with a small nylock nut.

The passive V-03Neo works perfectly well and sounds good when plugged straight into any decent quality guitar amp.  As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. Note that a preamp will be needed for use when plugged directly into a mixer or P.A. system.
