The BM-01 Neo allows you to add a pickup to your instrument without having to change the bridge or make major modifications to the instrument.
The BM-01 Neo was designed with a lengthened sensor element to enable it work properly on the non-adjustable bridges typically found on Bouzouki's, Mandola's, and Mandolins.
The new Neo-Jack assembly mounts using the same screws and holes that mount the Gibson style tailpiece to the instrument.
The passive pickup works perfectly well and sounds good when plugged straight into any decent quality guitar amp. As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. Note that a preamp will be needed for use when plugged directly into a mixer or P.A. system.

The new Neo-Jack gives you a secure and reliable mounting for the output jack. The BM-1 sensor is small and light in weight. 1/4" high by 2 1/4" in length and will not affect the acoustic sound of the instrument. It will work on virtually all of these instrument's bridges and only requires a small flat area on the bridge face for the sensor to adhere to.
Installation is simple as the pickup adheres to the bridge with the supplied 3M VHB tape. The jack assembly, designed for use with Gibson style tailpieces, simply uses the existing screws and mounting holes through the tailpiece.
BM-01 Neo Installation Instructions
Note that, when fitted, the jack assembly extends 3/4" (20mm) beyond the body line of the instrument. Please make sure that there is room in your case or that you can modify your case slightly to accommodate.
