CV Clip-On Violin Pickup (Passive)
An entirely new take on pickups for the violin, the CV Violin Pickup simply slides on and off the violin bridge with minimal effort.
Whether you need a pickup some of the time or all of the time, the new CV pickup is more than a quick, simple and flexible solution, it is a great sounding pickup that won't break the bank.
The passive CV works perfectly well and sounds good when plugged straight into any decent quality guitar amp. As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. Note that a preamp will be needed for use when plugged directly into a mixer or P.A. system.

The CV pickup slides onto your existing violin bridge and stays firmly in place due to the design of the pickup body. No modification to the instrument or bridge is required, no screws or adhesive or putty is used. The pickup comes complete and ready to use with a 10 foot shielded cable and standard 1/4" plug.
This pickup is designed only for use on violins and should comfortably fit virtually all normal violin bridges. It will fit both right handed and left handed instruments.
It is not designed to be used on violas, due to the thicker nature of a viola bridge. The maximum thickness of a bridge that this pickup will accommodate (as measured at the bottom arc) is 5.1mm (0.200").
