Where size and weight are of utmost importance enter the LP-15 series. This new revolutionary design is the smallest, thinnest, lightest and lowest profile soundboiard pickup yet. Built using a new patent pending process the LP-15 series pickups are less than one sixteenth of an inch thick (1.25mm). The pickup sensor itself is extremely light in weight, coming in at less than 2 grams, and does not inhibit soundboard movement or vibration.
For ultimate flexibility, the LP-15 Outsider version attaches quickly and easily with the special supplied low residue putty and comes complete with a 10 foot Mogami shielded cable and a standard 1/4"heavy duty output plug. A few minutes and you're ready to plug right into your amp.
For a more permanent solution the LP-15 Insider version comes prewired to a take-apart endpin jack. To fit to your instrument drill a hole in the end block to push the jack through. The endpin jack tightens securely from the outside and provides secure attachment for your strap. For inside installation, the LP-15 comes with VHB mounting tape for permanent installations and a special high stick putty for non-permanent installations that still can keep the pickup in place without any difficulty for years to come.
The LP-15 series pickups are designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.). As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. If you require the added ability to be able to plug directly into a P.A. or mixer then you may wish to check out the Schatten Design Mini Pre belt clipable preamp.
