The TC series of pickups provide a great sounding pickup that can be mounted quickly and easily to Tricone instruments without having to drill holes when installing the TC Neo or TC Pro passive versions. More traditional solutions requiring permament fitting are also available in the Player (passive) and A series (active) models.
The TC's in passive format are available with your choice of either a regular endpin jack fitting; the new Neo Jack option; or an MVC Jack assembly with volume control.
The TC sensor attaches to the side of the T bridge with 3M VHB tape adhesive. Small and light weight it provides excellent feedback resistance and does not alter the acoustic sound of the instrument.
The TC Player and Active options require some drilling to install. The Pro option can be configured without drilling.
The Neo-Jack installs quickly and simply to the back side of the tailpiece and uses the original strap button and screw. The lead wire from the TC sensor is simply brought out of the cover plate to the jack.
The 1/2 " MVC jack assembly on the Pro optin may be also attached relatively easily to the underside of the tailpiece, or the area next to the tailpiece, rather than clamping to the side of the instrument. However, for a more permamnent installation some drilling is required.
For players wanting an on board preamp, the TC-A is the active version in the lineup and combines the TC sensor with the Artist II endpin jack preamp that may also be run from phantom power - so no battery need be installed.
The TC Tricone Pickup is available in four different models:
TC Player: Passive with standard 1/4" endpin jack
TC Neo: Passive with Neo jack assembly
TC Pro: Passive with MVCplus jack assembly including volume control.
TC A: Acive with dual channel preamp endpin jack.
