Preamp - MicroPre Preamp


Schatten Design is an innovative Canadian company that specialises in original handmade acoustic pickups.  The company has a tailored pickup solution for acoustic and classical guitar, banjo, resonator, mandolin, violin, piano, bouzouki, folk instruments and everything in between. Schatten pickups are used by performers, luthiers, and manufacturers all around the world.
 

Micro-Pre Miniature Preamps

Small and compact single and dual channel buffer preamps for stringed instruments that can be placed in any control cavity or built into just about anything.

The MicroPre is a single channel Jfet preamp providing up to 4 db of gain and a single mono output. 
Input: Single channel in.
Output: Single channel out.
Input Impedance: up to 10 MOhm
Output Impedance: Less than 3.5 KOhm
Battery Life: 9 volt alkaline battery -1500 hours, or 2 CR2032 coin cells providing a total of 6 volts -  750 hours
Size: 1 1/4" long x 3/4" wide x 3/16" thick (28.5mm x 18.5mm x 4.5mm)

Wiring Kit for MicroPre
Control Kit-1 for the MicroPre contains: 2 500k audio taper pots, 1 switchcraft 1/4" output jack, 1 6" 9volt battery snap, 1 9volt battery holder, 2 12" 26ga hook-up wire, 1 12" miniature shielded cable, lock washers for pots and jack.

The MicroPre 2  is a two channel Jfet preamp that provides up to 4 db of gain per channel and separate
(stereo) outputs.

Input: Two separate channels in.
Output: Two separate channels out.
Input Impedance: up to 10 MOhm
Output Impedance: Less than 3.5 KOhm
Battery Life: 9 volt alkaline - 1000 hours or 2 CR2032 coin cells providing a total of 6 volts - 375 hours
Size: 1 1/4" long x 1" wide x 3/16" thick (28.5mm x 25.4mm x 4.5mm)
