World Cancer Day

February 4th is designated as World Cancer Day.

As many of you know, we are passionate supporters of Breast Cancer Awareness and do something each October to raise money for a charity that supports this.

Given the World Health Organization (WHO) says cancer accounted for an estimated 9.6 million deaths in 2018 or, to put it another way, one in six reported deaths are attributed to cancer.

Lung, prostate, colorectal, stomach, and liver cancer are the most common types of cancer in men, while breast, colorectal, lung, cervical, and thyroid cancer are the most common among women.

Why not use today to do the checks on yourself or book yourself in for a health check; call or write to someone you know has cancer; or offer your services at a local hospice – music can be really uplifting and help.
