‘Twas the night…

‘Twas the day before Christmas, when on Brickwall Farm
The Old Dairy was open filled with Christmas charm;
The tinsel was hung round the guitars with care,
Who knows whether St. Nick would call there;

The guitars were nestled all snug in their cases,
While Christmas music The Old Dairy graces;
We snuggled down all wrapped in our fleeces.
Waiting for customers to collect their pieces.

When out in the yard there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from the chairs to see what was the matter.
Away to the door we ran in a dash,
Flung open reception and were out in a flash.

We looked outside Sandarac and what did we see
But people in cars, filled with hope and glee,
Who couldn’t rely on, at this time of year,
The Post office for their gifts to appear.

We loaded the cars with the gifts large and small
With all sorts of things not found in a mall.
The folks looked pleased as they drove out of sight
So Happy Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night!
