Yesterday more children got their exam results and what better way to celebrate their success in music that with one of our music-themed gifts?

We’ve got a wonderful range of gifts ranging from small things such as our English Pewter pins, keyrings, and bookmarks (the first two are made in Poole and the latter is made in Manchester), to our lovely chine mugs which keep alive the great British pottery tradition and are decorated by hand in Stoke on Trent. We’ve his and hers jewellery including cufflinks, earrings, pendants, and brooches which are made in Poole and Birmingham. For those wanting to spend a little more we have a few of our statement sculptures left and our amazing unisex eau de parfum (made in the home of perfume, Grasse, with an Italian glass bottle, and including a violin charm).

Butt Music

We’ve something a little different for today’s #ThrowbackThursday.

We don’t know whether you’ve ever noticed this but in the Hieronymus Bosch’s painting, “The Garden of Earthly Delights”, (c.1480-1490) there is some music written on the bottom of one of the characters in hell.

So what you ask. Well, James Spalink wondered how it would sound had the music arranged in the style of the period and then played it on lute, harp, and hurdy gurdy.

Have a listen and tell us what you think.
