Lunar Eclipse

#DidYouKnow the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st Century is taking place today?

Unless you’re going to be very long lived, this is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.

The full eclipse begins at 8:30pm* but, with the moon low and the sun not fully set, people will miss the penumbra and early phases. However, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 9:20 and lasting until 10:13, we should be able to get a good look at it.

To put this in perspective, the whole eclipse will last a whopping 6 hours 14 minutes with a full eclipse of 1 hour 43 minutes.

*Timings are based on the middle of the UK and will vary depending on where you are.
