For once we’re not talking about our wonderfully unique instruments such as the RSC, FRSC, Busato, Dupont, Lugnas, or Catherwood guitars but far stranger things. However, if you’d like to celebrate Uncommon Instrument Day with one of ours, who are we to object 😉
#DidYouKnow the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st Century is taking place today?
Unless you’re going to be very long lived, this is going to be a once in a lifetime experience.
The full eclipse begins at 8:30pm* but, with the moon low and the sun not fully set, people will miss the penumbra and early phases. However, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 9:20 and lasting until 10:13, we should be able to get a good look at it.
To put this in perspective, the whole eclipse will last a whopping 6 hours 14 minutes with a full eclipse of 1 hour 43 minutes.
*Timings are based on the middle of the UK and will vary depending on where you are.
