BM-1 Pickup for fixed bridge Bouzoukis, Mandolas, and Mandolins
This system allows you to add a pickup to your instrument without having to change the bridge or modify anything . The BM-1 Pro, with volume control, was designed with a lengthened sensor element to enable it work properly on the bridges of Bouzouki's, Mandola's, and fixed (non-adjustable) bridges of Mandolins.
The New style M2plus jack assembly gives you a secure and reliable mounting for the output jack. On these thicker bodied instruments using a clamp-on jack assembly is just not practical thing. The M2plus jack assembly, which nestles in right next to the tail piece, is only a half an inch high and mounts from the tailpiece (not the body).
The BM-1 sensor is small and light in weight. 1/4" high by 2 1/4" in length and will not affect the acoustic sound of the instrument. It will work on virtually all of these instrument's bridges and only requires a small flat area on the bridge face for the sensor to adhere to.
Installation is simple as the pickup adheres to the bridge with the supplied 3M VHB tape. The jack assembly simply adheres to the underside of the tailpiece via its integral mounting plate.
