Maurice Dupont has managed to create traditional Spanish Flamenco guitars whilst infusing them with his French flair. Cypress back and sides are used throughout for their brighter sound and the way in which they give each note an abrupt rise and decay. Whilst 'regular' flamenco guitars are available we particularly like this rather unique cutaway model. All Dupont Flamenco guitars include ebony fingerboard and mahogany neck with a choice of Spruce or Red Cedar tops. A light overall construction is employed, to the point of fragility, to foster a bright sound. The resulting instrument is much sharper and, surprisingly perhaps, "more flamenco" than many of its peers.
