D-4 Std. Pickup for Appalachian Dulcimer

Easy to install, the D-4 Std Appalachian dulcimer pickup comes complete with a simple 1/4" output jack assembly and is fully wired and ready to use. With no modifications required to the instrument, the sensor mounts to the soundboard with a special, suipplied, non-marring putty.  A thin layer of the putty applied to the underside of the pickup attaches the piezo unit securely to the instrument. The putty will not dry out and will not leave any residue on the instrument. The jack assembly mounts securely to the end block of the dulcimer with the supplied 3M VHB foam mounting tape. No holes need be drilled in the instrument.  For more permanent installations, the jack assembly may be affixed to the end block of the instrument with 2 small supplied wood screws.

This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.). If you require the added ability to be able to plug directly into a P.A. or mixer then you may wish to add one of the Mini-Pre belt-clip preamps to your pickup system.
