Instrument Technician / Luthier – Workshop Space Available
Recent personnel changes have given rise to an opportunity for an instrument technician to join us at The Old Dairy. Whilst we have interim technical cover available to us we would like to continue to offer an on-site set-up and repair service for our customers. The amount of work is not sufficiently large, currently, to justify a salaried position. Therefore, we are posting notice of a workshop space available at an extremely competitive rate. Enquiries are invited from local North Essex / South Suffolk based individuals who may be either existing, experienced, instrument technicians / luthiers who perhaps have outgrown their current workshop facilities or who wish to reduce current overheads; or alternatively from qualified individuals looking for suitable workshop space in which to start up their own service / repair business. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the maintenance and repair of the complete family of bowed instruments, and the various acoustic, classical and semi-acoustic guitars in the Sandarac portfolio. In return for a decent-sized workshop space, in low-cost, secure premises, in a very pleasant semi-rural location, the Instrument Technician will receive and undertake all Sandarac quality checking, set-up, fitting, and maintenance work. This is currently undertaken on an ad hoc basis. In addition, any repair work referrals provided by Sandarac, and subsequently undertaken, will attract a small commission. Any work otherwise received will not. If you are interested and would like to discuss this opportunity further we would love to hear from you. Please call on 01787 463039 or contact us on enquiries@sandarac.co.uk with your details and we will get back to you directly.
Sandarac Sales Rep – Great Opportunity for 2012
Are you currently calling on musical instrument retailers, or perhaps a musician with a passion for stringed instruments, an ability to sell, and looking for some extra cash? We are looking to fill some vacancies and enlarge our field sales team in 2012 by recruiting commission-only sales representatives in the following regions:
The successful candidates will be presenting our range of bowed instruments, classical guitars, and pickup solutions to music retailers in one or more of the above assigned areas, taking orders, merchandising, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with our customers.
Working remotely, you will be allocated your own dedicated region and provided with sales and marketing material, pricing guidelines, product samples, full technical support and back-up, and, most importantly, some great products to sell.
The Sandarac portfolio includes brands such Kremona, Maurice Dupont, Orpheus Valley, Schatten Design, and Stimer. All the instruments in the portfolio are European made, of excellent quality, and target the intermediate to advanced / professional level player. We do not compete in the cheap and cheerful beginners’ market. We aim to provide a quality European alternative to the cheap Chinese product that has flooded the market in recent years. On the accessory front, our innovative, hand-made, pickups from Canadian maker Schatten Design provide an affordable solution for a whole world of acoustic instruments. With solutions for acoustic and classical guitar, banjo, resonator, mandolin, violin, piano, bouzouki, folk instruments and almost everything in between, Schatten Design pickups are used and endorsed by performers and manufacturers around the world.
You pick the hours and days you want to work. You pick the time you want to dedicate to this project. The more you put into it, the more you are likely to get out. There is no up-front payment or registration fee required from you and you will be rewarded by means of a generous commission payment for each successful sale. Payment is made to you monthly.
There is no doubt that times are tough in the business of music retailing. However, this is a great opportunity for someone already working as a freelance sales rep in the music industry but will suit anyone with the right approach, skills, and attitude.
To apply for your own sales territory, email enquiries@sandarac.co.uk with an up to date cv accompanied by a few words to highlight why you believe you would be suitable for the role. We look forward to hearing from you.
