Finished in a sleek matt black, it is made from a polycarbonate resin which means that it is virtually unbreakable and incredibly tactile; what’s more we’ve had a bass clef in direct sunlight for over a year now with no evident fading. Weighing in at a hefty 1.8kg (just over 4lb or close to a couple of bags of sugar) means it is very stable despite its height and can be put to practical use as a bookend or paperweight should you want to.
